Overcoming today's church challenges with church management software - We live in a very different era from the time the Bible was revealed. The question that might arise is, is the Bible still relevant to life today? The answer is of course still relevant, because the Bible was indeed created to be used as a guide by mankind while living life. However, of course the church still has challenges to the church today that must be overcome. The church still often encounters several challenges so that the beliefs and values they have in responding to logical challenges are still not optimal.
In general, there are several types of challenges to the church today, starting from internal challenges, external challenges, and individualism. But unfortunately there are still many congregations who are not aware of this challenge, so they don't know.
Therefore, on this occasion we would like to describe some of the things that are challenging the church today, you can read more fully in the following explanation.
Challenges of the Church Today
Internal Challenges
Before looking at external challenges, sometimes the church also has internal problems such as organizational divisions within the church due to financial problems, different understandings, different camp needs and so on (1 Corinthians 3: 3). Division must occur to see who stands the test. But, don't let us be the source of the division. We must remember that Jesus did not expect divisions (Matthew 12:25).
Of course this must be immediately realized and corrected by the congregation and church officials because God does not like divisions. Wouldn't it be better if we entered His heaven together, without having to be divided?
External Challenges
Today's postmodern era has no small role in enlivening a new morality with personal standards. There has also been a lot of propaganda, issues of religious radicalism, as well as various movements carried out by groups of people who dare to take extreme actions. This is as if blaming the church and asking the church to take responsibility. This is also one of the signs that religious intolerance and fanaticism as well as exclusivism are increasing in the socio-religious fabric of society.
Currently, many of our young people are easily entangled in misinformation, fake news, and provocations that have gone viral on social media. So that they can become easy targets for recruitment by radical groups who are developing their organizational networks, as in the example below:
The rise of various heretical teachings that have heretical sects such as Mormonism, Gnosticism, Christian Science, Jehovah's Witnesses and others.
Persecution of the congregation which is considered as anti-social and causes riots.
Humans who are increasingly here feel smarter so as if they don't need God's presence.
The Challenge of Individualism
In terms of individualism, sometimes humans feel busy with their world, such as millennials who often struggle with the virtual world. So that the gadget has become a new type of 'god'. It can be seen from the congregation who rarely have Bible books because they already have Bibles in the form of digital bibles on their cellphones and Ipads.
What's even sadder is, during the service, they are more likely to use social media, such as Facebook, Instagram, and so on. Not to mention the many adultery and divorce of the congregation. Many do not think about the circumstances of others and are not committed to prioritizing themselves to study the Bible as the main guide in their lives.
To overcome this problem, of course the church needs a solution. Fortunately, this solution comes in the form of a "church application" that will analyze and solve the problems of church members, because with an application like this, we can strengthen our sense of brotherhood and love for each other, through just one application. This one application can also function for many things.
Benefits of using Church Management Software
ChMS improves Communication between the Congregation and the Church
Church applications can be used as a communication tool for matters related to the Church. Church applications are usually equipped with a Help Request feature that allows congregations to communicate directly with the Church. In addition, if the Church has information that must be disseminated, it can be conveyed by way of Shouts, Banners, News, etc., which can be accessed through the application. By having 1 communication door, the information conveyed can be well received by the congregation.
ChMS as a mean to monitor Congregation Spirituality
This kind of application can also be a tool for monitoring and spiritual growth of the Congregation. By using the church application, the Church can monitor how active a congregation is in events organized by the church, spiritual quality through devotion notes, as well as event points to show how enthusiastic the congregation is at attending church events. Later this data can be managed to strengthen and inform the church about what programs they should maintain, or create new events that are more attractive to the congregation.
One-stop-Application Replacement for Physical Objects
The Church Management Software can function to replace physical objects from the church, such as Church Cards, Congregation News, Liturgy, Praise Books, etc. Even now, the majority of applications for churches already have digital Bibles in them, so the Congregation doesn't have to bother carrying Bible books or installing Bible applications separately.
Currently there are many church management software, but there is one that you should try for your church, namely the Erista application. Erista ChMS has features that cover many things, as written above, making it easier for congregations and churches to manage the mobility of their congregations.
With the features that are already available, Erista tries to be a "one-stop-application" for the church and its congregation. So, having an application like Erista is not a burden, but rather helping to lighten the burden that already exists in the church. How about your church? Interested in trying the “Erista” church management software?
In today's digital era, almost the majority of people have used electronic device technology in the form of cellphones, computers, laptops, tablets, and others. Electronic devices are not something foreign to humans. Because most of human time must be used to access various applications or software on electronic devices both online and offline.
Erista Dwatiga Teknologi is a technology company that makes applications for churches. This software can be used to help and support churches starting from the internal church ministers themselves. Erista began at the end of 2021, located in Surabaya, Indonesia. The name Erista came from its founders, namely Eric, Ricky, and Indarta.
The current millennial generation is always up to date, trending, and wants new things. This is caused by globalization. Therefore, the church must also adapt by modernizing the technology and media used for ministry. Church applications or software is one of the technologies that is now often used by the younger generation.
